Bring out the dominated concerns of R.K. Narayan in "the guide.

Introduction
"R.K. Narayan is a moral analyst who writes fiction to depict the members of the middle class of society making efforts themselves.....from the automatism of the past,' (William Walsh). Neither expressing any definite ideology, nor exalting India's spiritual heritage; neither attacking Indian politics, nor depicting Indian social life, Narayan is mainly concerned with the man's life in the universe. his concern is human destiny. he embraces life in totality, with its follies and vanities, but does not preach or spread a doctrine. However, his novels do have various common themes underlying them.
"The Guide"
the main theme is implicit in the title of the novel. Raju, the railway guide, becomes a tourist guide, Rosie's manager and dancing guide, a prisoners guide and finally a spiritual guide; of a common man"s attainment of maturity of a confident and ignorant guide to an altruistic swami.
